Believing in the prophets and apostles is the fourth pillar of faith in Islam ...
The word "Prophet" is derived from the word Naba which means "from high place"; Therefore, the 'high place' must have a vision to a far (prediction) called nubuwwah.
The prophets can convey the revelation he received but has no obligation to certain people or territories. Meanwhile, the word "Messenger" comes from the word Risala which means presentation. Therefore, the apostles, after being appointed a prophet, served to deliver revelation with the obligation of a particular people or territory. Of all the apostles, Muhammad as the 'closing prophet' who received an official title in the Qur'an the Prophet was the only obligation to cover the people and territories of the whole universe 'Rahmatan Lil Alamin'.
